This project was a little bit complicated. The product was originally manufactured in a Flat finish only and the company wanted to introduce two more sheens, Satin and Semi-Gloss. But the owner of the company didn't want to make any changes to the existing design of the label, specially because a lot of money was going to be spent on getting rid of the old labels and printing the new ones. It took a lot of convincing (with numbers in hand) to give the label a new modern look.
Colors and proportions were the key to successfully approach the redesign without compromising the image of a product costumers already trusted. Metallic inks were also used to achieve a premium look. Sometimes a simple change can make a big difference.
Original labels designed more than a decade ago (below).
