Back in 2014 I contacted a company named Twenty Forward, a monthly subscription box that delivered a different shirt every month. Each shirt was designed by a different artist and the money generated by the sales was donated to a charity chosen by that artist.
I was selected to be the artist for the month of July that year. I choose the charity Hogar de Nino Ave Maria located in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. This is a catholic church entity that provides shelter for three months to kids that have been removed from their homes by Social Services.
The design was inspired on those kids, specially because I had the opportunity of becoming a foster parent myself from 2008-2009. These kids suffer violence everday, when all they should be given is love and care. "Violence is not a game".
The design was featured in multiple local blogs and newspapers. (screenshots and pictures below)
